Was this bird messing with my head, or what?

I was shopping with my daughters today, and mentioned to them that I had never seen a raven in the wild in my whole life, although they’re supposed to live in this area. A few minutes later we walked out ot the store and I heard this loud croaking sound I’d never heard before; looking in the direction of the noise I saw what looked like a giant crow on top of the building. When I got home I looked up ravens on the internet and listened to recordings of their calls, and it was, in fact, a raven.

Ravens themselves seem like they have their own inherent magic, or something. They are very intelligent. First time I saw one, it was picking at a dead rabbit in the middle of my horse’s pasture. Definately looked like king of the bird world (at least in my area) to me.
