Would a 3 year old cockatiel like me?

I am wanting to get my first bird. No, I don’t want a parakeet or any other small bird. I have found a great deal: a cockatiel, its cage, and all its toys for just 50 dollars. This deal was found over Craigslist, so I have never actually met the bird, but the owner said he is very nice and he whistles and talks. I am going to pick him up in a couple of days. But he is already 3 years old. Would he like me? Or would he reject me and make a big fuss everyday for his previous owners back? Any answer would be appreciated!

Of course he will like you. Cockatiels are very loving birds. I have adopted many from friends. They all have different personalities but as long as you show them love they will bond with you.
