is it a robin or wha????
there is a bird that looks sort of like a robin in my back yard…. it has a red breast and its back is light brownish tan. we live in albuquerque new mexico and were wondering if we have robins. but it pushed an egg out of her nest and it was white, and dont robins usually have blue eggs? if you know what kind of bird this is please let me know thanksif it helps her nest is about seven or eight feet off our upper level. she is very friendly but if we get too loud she will leave for a few minutes then come back.
i have tried every searc engine i can possibly think of, and i know of no such books. and NOOOOOOOOOOOOO it is NOT a chicken from the stupid supermarket!!!!!!!! not possible to get a LIVE chicken from albertsons!
Is the pushed out egg pure white or white with brown spots? Sounds like a robin..but it could possibly be a couple other species. Probably would need a photo. American Robins are found in your area however..see more below. If the egg is white with spots..it could belong to a cowbird which is a brood parasite and will lay it’s eggs in other birds nests. You can also try the websites below to find other birds found in your area to narrow down what type of bird this is.
