How much would a finch cost?
How much would a finch cost? Including cage, toys, actual bird, food, food container, vet care?, lighting, etc…

P.S: I would do lots of research and have everything set up before I got it, I just wanted to know how much it would be, because if it were to expensive I would rather not spend the monthes of planning that I usually spend on new pets.
p.s#2: I would like to get it the best of the best supplies.

It depends on how much you want to spend really. I’m quessing you want zebras… You’ll need to get two birds. The birds themselves are anywhere between $10 – $40 a pair. You’ll of course need a cage, the bigger the better. I would suggest budget at least $50 for it, but they can be as cheap as $15 or as much as a $150 or more. You’ll need a nest, which is about $5. Zebras really don’t need toys or vet care, but putting $100 a side wouldn’t hurt just in case for the later. The food dishes and perches should come with the cage, but I always like getting an extra pair… one for treats and one for grit. so maybe $5 – $10 on that. Food is about $2 at walmart and probably will last a month or more for two finches…. But again if you want to spend more the best food is exact and cost more around $5 and will probably last the same amount of time. grit is about $4 and seems to last forever. So I would give yourself $100 to set up and about $15 a month budget, but I’m probably going high on the later.
