How should I ask my landlord if I can have a budgie/parakeet in the house without sounding like a kid?
I just cant think of the right way to phrase the question without sounding like a 10 year old asking her parents for a puppy. My landlord let me have a small dog, and my duplex neighbors have two dogs as well, and I never hear them so I think the walls are thick. So how do I go about bringing up a bird, and what should I say without sounding “beggy” and childish? Thanks
Instead of asking, tell your landlord that you’re looking into getting the bird and just want to make sure that having one isn’t against any pet policies and won’t create any problems for the neighbors. That way, you’re still being respectful by asking ahead of time but don’t sound like a child because you are simply stating your intent.
Johnny the talking budgie #1.
