Is there a difference between Warcraft and World of Warcraft?
I’m just wondering, is there a difference between Warcraft and World of Warcraft? Because, my dad bought a Battle Chest that has “Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos”, “Warcraft III: Frozen Throne” and two guides for those games in it.
I was watching him play and I thought it was the same as World of Warcraft but the graphics are a lot different. In Warcraft III, the graphics are all birds eye viewish and a little bit cartoonish and in WoW, it looks a lot more realistic and it’s not birds eye view.
In his game, I saw that he was building stuff and I remember playing WoW with my friend at her house a long time ago, and you were killing dragons and stuff.
He says he has Warcraft III online but he didn’t pay anything. Do you have to pay to get online with Warcraft III?
So, is there a difference between them?
I don’t know, I’m really confused..
Oh and in WoW, can you play it just single player or do you HAVE to get online? I’ve just been wondering that, too.
Warcraft is the name of that fantasy world (like Star Wars). Warcraft III is a game from that world, as is World of Warcraft. Warcraft III is a strategy game you play by yourself, off-line, with no subscription fee. WoW is a MMORPG that you play with other people, always on-line, with a monthly subscription fee. You must play WoW online.
