Any really extensive animal range map website out there?

I’d like a site that has the most maps of animals (especially birds and mammals) by where they live. It would be GREAT if they also had maps for where the general family or order lived.
To make myself clearer, you know those field guides? I’d like on for the WORLD! But, online.
Anybody?

The IUCN red list (http://www.iucnredlist.org) has information, including a range map, for many many mammal species, especially those that may have a threatened status.

For birds, type in the name of pretty much any bird into the search box in avibase (http://avibase.bsc-eoc.org/avibase.jsp?lang=EN&pg=home), find the bird you’re looking for, click on its name, and then click on “map” under its name.
