Bird Sanctuaries/Shelters?

Hi! I volunteer for three all-animal shelters, but I know birds need a bit of a better boost, and most bird shelters don’t have a good amount of volunteers. I live in Ohio, so are there any bird shelters that I can volunteer at?

Koodo’s for you. The fact is people who rescue birds do not need a license per sey. They just do it. Unfortunately this makes for lots of birds living in an overcrowded situations. Nuff said. Contact your local avian vet, or wild life office, their lists should be long and many. Or google your town or state for avian rescue or clubs. These three things should give you lots of choices.
