does anyone know where i could adopt an exotic bird, like a parrot or a macaw, in or near Houston?

i have tried local shelters and rescues. I can’t seem to locate a bird available for adoption. Please do not respond unless you actually know the exact location of available birds for adoption in Texas. Preferrably near Houston…but would travel to adopt one.

Sorry to burst your bubble, this isn’t meant to put anyone down.
I think you’ll find that any reputable rescue, won’t adopt a bird out to you unless you can demonstrate that you’ve owned fids before and we’re not talking budgies. A rescue bird is almost always as a rule, been pretty abused by people and may never come completely around again. I’ve got 8 years with Fids and I wouldn’t even think of it.
