My mom and I noticed a killdeer bird had left its eggs for 2 hours not incubated. After the 2 hours, we saw that it had come back, but it was dark and it had gotten cooler over the 2 hours. Will the eggs still hatch and will the babies survive?

She isn’t done laying just yet. Killdeer lay all of their eggs first then they sit, this ensures that all of the babies are the same age when they hatch. If you noticed her on the nest she may have been laying but not incubating.
