Budgies keep crapping in their water bowl?

Don’t know why, being an animal carer myself, i thought they sit on top of it all day due to the heat but they do it when its cold too, bought them a bird bath but they still do it.

the same thing use to happen to me.
try putting the water bowl up higer than the perch. Generally the birds will go to the toilet while on the perch, right? It won’t stop the “Crap” on the water bowl entirely, but it should stop at least some of it.
