My friend found a bird egg outside, what to do?

So, my friend found a bird egg outside on the ground. She put the egg in a box with blankets holding the egg in place and their is a lightbulb on top of the bird egg. What should we do? What should we do when it hatches if it does? What do we feed it? Anything else I should know? Once the bird is grown enough she is going to give the bird to a place where they take care of wild, abandoned animals.
She knows their is something in the egg.

I would take the egg to the wildlife place before it hatches, it is very hard to hatch a bird egg. good luck!
