Building a bird aviary, can some one help me with two questions?
I havent got any room to attach it to a shed. So I will be having just a 4 sided aviary. 3 sides wood and the front mesh. However, I want it warm for the winter months so could I have a few nest boxes in there for my budgies, would that be warm enough?
and also in the nest boxes do I have perches? or an empty space for them to nest? I am hoping to have small normal bird houses then I want to build a 2ft x 1ft bird house, so should I fill that with perches or just space?
By far the best heaters for an aviary are Electric Tubular Green house heaters,coupled to a thermostat,giving a temperature off at least 40%,But it all depends on where you live and the size of area you want to heat,
These heaters range from 2ft.to 6ft.
