Why is bird breathing like this?

I just bought a parakeet from Petco, and he is breathing weird. He is opening and closing his break, and while the beak is open, he breaths in, and closes it, and breathes out. Its sort of a hyper breathing, and I’m just wondering if its normal. I just got him two days ago, so I am wondering if he is sick.
I have had 3 birds before him, and I have never seen them breath like this.

Commercial pet stores have a tendency to sell sick birds.. That is the best guess..
