Wedding theme/Decorating…on a boat? Read all, a couple ?’s TY?

So my fiance and I have decided we for sure are having our reception on a boat…it’s called the LoneStar Lady on Lady Bird Lake in Texas. She is red, white and blue…which would be great if we wanted to get married in July…it’s too hot! I was thinking of going with a Nautical theme to fit the color and essence…does it work? It’s hard to find Nautical favors and such that are actually something people would want lol. What other ideas do you have? We are trying to figure out what month would be good weather wise. Also..if I go with Nautical..what are some cute lines I can use…maybe with the words anchor…or anything related…a lovey qoute..lol Thanks in advance for your help.

Awesome to hear! My fiance & I are getting married in a catholic church and also having our reception on a boat in Texas, we live south of Houston, it is called the Star Gazer. Our boat is black and white. We are getting married on May 7th, 2011…I figured it would be perfect weather and it is not during hurricane season either.
These are the colors I am toying around with:
-Navy, Yellow & White
-Navy, Fuchsia Pink & White
-Navy, Baby Blue & White
The main color will be navy blue, the bridesmaides dresses are navy blue, (the color marine from Davids Bridal) They have several light weight styles for all different shapes and sizes and all under like $135.00

The nautical colors of red, white and blue defiantly work and would go super well with the boat, and it doesn’t have to be in July.

As far as nautical favors, I haven’t decided yet. When I went to tour our yacht, they had a wedding gala and they had a really cute idea with sparklers in a tin bucket and then each sparkler had a little tag with the bride and grooms name on it. I know that isn’t really a favor, but an idea for on the boat as you are sailing on the water.

We our getting a personalized life-ring with our names and wedding date on it and we are going to have our guests sign it.

As far as months go, I would suggust: late april, may, early June, Late Sept. October.
