I am worried that the chicks in my nest box may have died. I am sure they are blue tit chicks.?

The nest box is in the back of my garden in an area that my compost bin is in so it is not too noisy. I saw an adult bird a couple of times when I was passing and it flew up into a nearby tree and made plenty of noise. For the past week whenever I go round to put stuff in the bin I have heard the chicks, but today there has been no noise. It is very hot today and I am concerned they may have died. Is it possible that they have left the nest and I am worrying for nothing. How do I check if they are ok?
I thought they may have fledged but was not sure if it was too early for this or not. Would they be able to fly pretty much straight away? I have heard some birds in the tree next to my garden and not sure if it’s them or not.

It is quite possible that they have fledged and left the nest,if there is no sign of the parents then this could be the case.

Blue tit young leave their nests early in the mornings.

Tap on the nest box and you may get a response,otherwise wait a few more days (2) then look in but beware that you do not frighten any chicks as they they may leave the nest prematurely
