Blue tit help?
For just over 1 month we have had a pair of blue tits nesting in a box in our garden. Today we found that something had got into the nest and had pulled out the nest and the blue tits were nowhere to be seen.
I looked in the box to find 7 eggs (about 8.20am). When i was at scholl my mum said a blue tit returned and was really stressed out but it went into the box and it was in the box when i got home, the bird returned at about 9.30am.
As the nest is below thebox, should we put the nest back in? Will the eggs have survived? We’ve only seen 1 bird back so there is a suspiciion the other bird has been killed.

For ages we were told parent birds would reject eggs with human scent on them – now we know different. Put the nest back and watch for the parent to return. If the eggs do not hatch, at least you’ll know you tried.
