Will human presence disturb the nesting behavior of birds?
A few birds are nesting in a potted plant suspended right by our front door. There is a tiny nest with little (3/4″ long) blue, spotted eggs. Will the frequent opening/closing of the door and people walking by (the birds just fly away and come back) mess up the incubation of the eggs/raising of the chicks? If the nest somehow gets disturbed, will the birds abandon it?
i have some in my chimney..drives me crazy. no matter how much noise i make or banging on the fireplace, they stay. as long as you don’t touch the eggs they will be fine. if you have a cat, you may want to block it off somewhat or keep the cat inside
