Fossil of Giant, Bony-Toothed Bird from Chile Sets New Record for Wingspan
The drawing of a giant ancient bird of more than five metres wingspread as it has been reconstructed by scientists of the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The skeleton of the ‘Pelagornis chilensis’, which lived five to ten million years ago, is on display in the museum.
