The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is also known as the Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary. Situated in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, this bird sanctuary houses an estimated 300 species of birds. The sanctuary is open throughout the year, however the months of Nov to June is the best time to visit this sanctuary since it is the time of arrival for migratory birds from the north.

Nalsarovar bird Sanctuary

The Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary boasts of being the largest wetland bird sanctuary in Gujarat. It is also one of the largest in India. Located at a distance of about 64 Km from Ahmedabad, this bird sanctuary includes a large lake with an area of about 123 Sq Km. Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary
