I need someone to explain the model scaling system to me! HO? N?
I am looking for a small model park bench. Its for the card table at my wedding. I wanted to be unique and have a small model park made for my wedding. I found tiny lamp post, bird baths, and trees that are all place card holders. I also found small place card holders that were park benches. Unfortunately they have discontinued the product. I was looking on model stores online to just purchase model size park benches to at least have there for the effect but I do not understand the modeling world. They don’t say the inches for the items. They just say the things like HO scale. I basically need a park bench that would be around two inches hight and like three inches long. Is this even a size in the modeling world or too big? Thanks
If you have made a model park then you should already have a scale in place. That is – the ratio of the real one to the model one. Using that scale is what you need to determine the size of your bench. Since you seem to know what size you need, you might have to make it yourself. Here is the scale for model trains:
