my bird is sick?

I have a cockatiel who is almost two yrs old. last night he became what I thought very ill. He just laid on my chest and would not move. He was unable to move. He was unable to stand on his perch. Called vet and followed his orders to sit him on the bottom of cage, keep him very warm,etc… I really thought he was going to die. This morning he is acting alot better, moving about, talking,eating, although he is still not quite himself. Is my bird sick, or was he just really tired?

Yes, your bird is ill and responded well to the heat. Please take him to an avian veterinarian asap. Birds hide their symptoms as long as possible so the fact that his symptoms were so obvious is a sign he’s pretty ill. Please do not wait anything out… get him to the doctor NOW.
