How to humanely remove a bird’s nest with baby birds from an outside venting (bathroom) exhaust vent?

What expert do I call? How much should I expect to pay? I want a cage put on after removal.

If there are already chicks in the nest it should not be long before they leave..most passerines or perching birds leave the nest at about two weeks of age. If you can wait..wait and remove the nest when they are gone. If you cannot wait, you can move the nest and place it somewhere safe as close as POSSIBLE to the original nest location and the parents should still care for it. If you cannot secure the nest..you can put the entire thing into a basket or pail with handle and tie the nest up so it will not fall. Once the nest is moved you can watch from afar to see if the parents were able to locate the new nest..do not approach as you would be considered a predator and if they see you near the nest they will not come to feed.
