What to do bird nest…?

In my yard we have these sweet adorable little birds who for some reson love to build there nest low to the ground in the fern plant pot. Well I have a dochsund who LOVES to hunt little birds like that! I want to help them “find” a new place without me hurting/damaging them. I cant move the pot or else they wont be able to find it……..ANY IDEAS???? pleeaaase?
I need a answere quick b/c my dog will kill those birds in a heart-beat!!

You shouldn’t take the nest out if there are eggs in it. Just keep taking their nesting material out of the fern when they try to build the nest. They will try to keep building it there unless you keep discouraging them. Keep getting rid of the nesting stuff and pretty soon they will move somewhere else. If there are eggs or babies in the nest, you will just have to watch the dog till the nest is empty.
