Magicians of today can outperform the supposed ‘Miracles’ of Jesus, what does that tell you?
Things like turning water to wine at a wedding, breathing life into clay birds (muslim, i think) walking on water…..
They are just so easily faked that to me their authenticity is highly dubious. If you’re really God why not perform some kind of really stupendous miracle, like raising a mountain range or arrange the stars into the shape of your name? You know, something that a two bit magician couldn’t pull off.
Would you believe, 2000 years later, that the stars lined up to spell “Jesus Friggin’ Christ”, if you weren’t there to see it? Hell, I watched David Copperfield make the Statue of Liberty disappear, and still don’t believe that he did it.
Simple fact: people were less educated back when the church was forming, and were easily led to believe thtat these things took place. By and large, we’ve moved beyond that. It’s just a shame that so many people are afraid to give up their traditions, in light of knowledge.
