Is your garden “backyard habitat?”?
I believe my yard qualifies because it’s attracts many bird and insect species, and I’ve seen lizards, toads and frogs, but I’ve never gotten certification. Is your yard certified, or is it backyard habitat that’s off the record?
I have the certification, I planted shrubs for birds and have native plants that absorb rainwater, and the birds love the seeds. You can build a butterfly garden too – I have a bird bath – it can be home for lots of critters!!
