Bacon Grease? What is it good for?

I have been collecting bacon grease all year from our weekend big breakfasts. I have a huge frozen tub of it in the freezer now. What is it good for? Originally I was collecting it to make suet cakes, but found out when I was looking for a recipe for the cakes that the grease wouldn’t work for that and need beef tallow. Is the bacon grease still good for some other kind of winter bird food? Is it good for anything? I am thinking I will probably end up dumping it in the woods for the animal if no ideas come my way from you.

Go get about a 20 pound bag of wild bird seed, and mix it in with the bacon grease. Then make balls of the mixture and hang in trees this winter for the wild birds.
