Why have all major pet stores stopped selling budgies and cockatiels etc?

They are still selling supplies like bird feed and cages. They’ve all sold birds in the past but no one in the stores seems to know why they’ve stopped.

They stopped because they purchased them from huge bird farms & they kept getting sick birds. The huge bird farms are concerned about quantity Not quality healthy birds. If you want a pet bird buy from a local breeder they are much sweeter, healthier & you know more about the conditions that a bird was raised in. Check local classifieds or kijiji or hoobly
