Why would bird droppings eat through the paint on my brand new car which is coated with simoniz??!!?

I’ve only had the car 3 months! It is a Toyota Solara. It’s dark blue, so the dealership recommended simoniz wax, which we paid 500.00 for. I noticed the bird droppings and washed it right away, so they couldn’t have been on there very long. I’ve never heard of this happening and I’m very upset about it. There is a round, dull spot where the droppings were that will not come off. It literally ate through the simoniz and part of the paint. Any ideas or comments?

check the warranty that you received with the paint shield (simoniz wax) you paid for, most of the paint shield warranties cover against fallout, acid rain, fade, and your situation may be covered under this warranty, second if not covered by the paint shield, check with the dealer on the manufacturer’s warranty, I know GM covers this for 12 months or 12k even tho it’s not due to a defect in the product, if the dealer denies it call Toyota they often have sympathy and may offer to repair it on a “goodwill” basis to keep you a happy customer
