Mark the grit off of your list. Parakeets shell their seeds before they eat them. The grit will actually kill them by cutting the inside of their gizzard. I don’t like the sanded perches. How would you like to have to walk around on sand paper with bare feet? If you give them two or three different size perches and they will keep their nails trimmed naturally. Put one of the concrete perches in there if you must. I prefer a toy with a bell and a piece of lava rock on it. They will hang and chew on the lava rock and it will do the trimming for you.
Give your bird fresh greens. They are not like a rabbit and eat dried grasses. Fresh greens like beet, spinach, kale and mustard are a few of the ones they like the best. Give them apple minus the seeds. I wouldn’t put a Budgie cozy in there. It is a place for bacteria to harbor and grow. Don’t use the rope perches either. I have seen the treads from one of them wrapped around the birds toes and cut the circulation off. When they swell up then you can’t cut the string. It will kill the birds foo/toes.
