Is it okay to feed a wild baby bird rice ?

I just found it and i’m going to take it to the vet tomorrow since it’s too late now.. i really need help , i searched for its bread and i think it eats seeds.. i don’t have any bird seeds at me house so i was wondering if rice would be good for it ?

No. Rice can kill birds if it is not cooked. Even cooked hard for the baby to digest. Is it hurt? If it is not and has feathers but not able to fly yet it is a fledgling and should be put back where found. Only may want to put on tree branch or some brush. The parent birds will feed it no matter where it is or if it has been touched. Fledgling are new out of the nest and survive with their parents help on the ground for a few days. I would put back and watch hidden to see if they come. If it is hurt and needs help. Put in a cool whip bowl lined with tissue for warmth. Put bowl with baby in a box. Put heating pad under the box to keep warm. Set on low. Feed it some dog or cat food that has been soaked in water and mush up to apple sauce texture. Use a popsicle stick to feed with. Do not give water in beak at all. Offer it some seeds if you can get some. Put in shallow dish as it may be able to eat itself. If cannot release then call local vet or the DEC who can refer you to a wildlife rehabber in your area that will take the bird and raise it and let it go back to the wild when ready. If the baby can eat by itself and does not need to be hand fed try soaking the cat or dog food in water and blot dry then cut up small put is shallow dish so it can eat it. Can give small amount of cooked/boiled rice and boiled chopped up egg. Best bet for its survival is parent birds or rehabber. Good luck
