HELP!!! BABY White Wing Dove!! (Zenaida asiatica)?

so i live in this military post here in texas.. and they do usual shooting training and stuff.. well some how the shots scared a bird and part of her nest felt on the ground with a baby in it..
the mom flew away scared and i didnt want to leave the bird there exposed to cats or other things that might harm him, luckly i had latex gloves in the car so i picked him up and took it home.. the birdy is moving and now i believe he is sleep, he cant see yet. his eyes hasnt open yet.. but i dont know what to give him to eat tomorrow. pls help me.. im gonna take him to animal rescue tomorrow as soon as possible. but for now i need some help on how to feed him or what to put in the little box he is in right now. if u guys want see pictures i can take them and post them in photobucket.. pls help me cause i dont want this poor thing to die.

You need to put the nest with the chick in it back where you found it..the parents will come back to feed and care for it. Birds do not just abandon their babies from being scared off once! If the nest is destroyed..put the baby bird in a basket or pail with handle and tie it back in place as close as possible to the original nest location. The parents may be frantically searching for thier nest and baby now. Watch from afar continually to see if the parents are coming and going. If they see you they will not come. It does not matter that you have touched the baby..don’t listen to anyone telling you the parents will abandon it due to this..just an old wives tale..birds cannot smell well at all. If you see no parent birds in the area after an hour or so, take the bird to a local wildlife rehab:
