I found a baby bird! How do I take care of it?

I found a baby bird on the sidewalk this morning. I wrapped him in some napkins and took him home. He’s mostly without feathers, but he has some gray-ish feathers on his wings and tail. He still can’t open his eyes.

I’ve been keeping him warm in the napkins and the sunlight. I fed him some sugar-water with a syringe.

How do I try to help him? What do you do with a baby bird? How often do I feed it, what do I feed it? Do I keep it warm or cool? Where do I keep it? Any other information is useful, too.

My family and I successfully raised an abandoned baby bird a few years ago. Feed it worms or tiny balls of thawed hamburger. That is what our vet told us to do. Let it nest in an old fluffy towel. The bird will need constant care- if you’re not sure you can take care of it, be sure to look for a local wildlife rehabilitation center. They could probably offer some good advice. Best of luck!
