Yeah well I have bipolar and I wrote this poem whilst being very depressed and thinking about the state our planet is in. Please give me feedback on it.

Sit down children
Let me tell you of a time
When birds flew free, animals roamed wild
Humans were weak, but headstrong
Perhaps a little to much
Nonetheless, they burned the fuel
Chopped the trees
Played the fools
Hunted the beasts

This went on for quite some time
Eventually Mother Nature had had enough
She packed her bags
And abandoned the lush
Green that had once been
The world was in turmoil
Death loomed on all

Religion had ended
A christless world, a once legendary book sealed
Priests and monks lifeless
A greater being had lost its appeal

Alas technology prevailed
Plants replaced by machines
That feed the lungs of you and me
This reality may seem normal to you
But we were truly happy under a sense of hope
Fake or not it guided us
Through the first 2500 years.

Thanks.

I’m sorry about the bi-polar thing, but not enough to lie and tell you your poem is good. Yuck. Try again when you’re hypomanic.
