bird cage setup?
i just brought home my baby bird today 10 week old green cheek conure. and he is playing on the bottom of his cage, is that normal: i have a decent size cage 2 1/2 feet x 2 1/2 feet and about four feet tall. i have one large perch has two branches on it and a couple of toys, im going to the store soon to buy more toys but is this normal, at the breeders he was kept in a glass aquarium do you think he just doesn’t know how to climb ujp the cage yet, he is very healthy, should i just leave him alone or help him out, he also got his wings clipped today. also any advice on setting up the cage? i got him one of the little bird huts to sleep in. pics would be great any advice would also be helpful, hes very friendly knows step up very mellow. when I brought my birds home, (all 3) over the course of 8 years, they adapted well to the cage. They too were kept in a tank like thing. It just took a week or so for them to get used to it. They would fall trying to climb, but they eventually got it. You should pick him up and set him on the perch. It might help.
